Xiao Feng

Assistant Professor, Department of Geography, Florida State University
Colloquium Director

Xiao Feng's research is focused on the predictable patterns of species’ geographic distribution. Feng aims to make informative predictions of biogeographic patterns under climate change, and thus better inform invasive species management and conservation efforts. He is also interested in the methodology that improves the accuracy of existing ecological niche model algorithms, as well as developing new modeling framework that integrates external information (e.g. physiology) into ecological niche modeling. Another aspect of his research involves developing tools and software for studying biodiversity, which are usually based on R and HPC.
