Robbie Burger
Assistant Professor of Biology, University of Kentucky
Robbie is an interdisciplinary macroecologist. His research uses natural history knowledge and biophysical theory to motivate the compilation and analysis of large datasets to: i) investigate the fundamental rules that govern life at multiple levels of organization (individuals, groups, populations, societies) and across taxonomic, spatial and temporal scales, and ii) to use these "macroecological laws” as predictive tools to inform practical issues in human and ecosystem health, biodiversity conservation and sustainability, from local to global scales.
Areas of study: Macroecology; Evolutionary Ecology; Scaling; Biodiversity; Human Ecology; Sustainability
